Video conversion
The application has an advanced video encoder that is capable of converting video files into several formats, including MP4, AVI, 3GP, MKV, ASF, MOV, AVI, WMA, WMV, FLV and more. With this tool, you can easily convert videos and eliminate the media fragmentation. You can add specific audio and video settings to the videos, including the video quality, bit rate, frame rate, resolution, video codec, frame size, audio codec and sample rate. After conversion, you can preview the timeline of the video and the progress to monitor the conversion. SPG Video Converter automatically generates a quality report, so you can know the quality of the generated video. SPG Video Converter enables you to convert video clips from and to several formats, including 3GP, AVI, FLV, MKV, MOV, MP4 and WMV, to/from audio tracks, screen capture clips, HD video clips, video clips and trailers, and to/from digital cameras. You can preset the quality level, select the output format, choose a location to save the output file, set the file name, delete the files, batch convert video clips, and set output parameters, such as codec, frame rate, aspect ratio, resolution, bit rate, sound track, etc. You can drag and drop video files directly into the SPG Video Converter window or use the File Manager to browse a video file. On the right side of the main window, you can also choose the source path of each video, and change the compression format, bit rate, frame rate, resolution, aspect ratio, etc., in the list.
In a first step, the application displays the input and output formats, the target directory, and a list of the video files you want to convert. If you want to convert a number of files at a time, you can create a file queue in which you can manually add or delete the files that you want to convert. During the conversion, the task manager enables you to interrupt the job, so you can confirm the progress or cancel the process.
SPG Video Converter provides several video conversion presets to help you set the parameters quickly. However, you can fine-tune them, and you cannot configure additional audio and video options (e.g. frame rate, aspect ratio, resolution, volume level, bit rate, sound track, etc.). An external or built-in player or a new window enables you to preview video clips (1:1).
Next to that, you can find several advanced settings, such as a frame size and aspect ratio adjustment. The video and audio options provided by the task manager enable you to transform your video file into a streaming file, MP4, MPG, MP3, AAC or AC3 file.
After the conversion process is finished, you can preview the output clips to check the result and select a destination for your new files. You can drag and drop the converted files into an external or built-in player or start them directly with the help of the task manager.
