Number of ordered pairs $(x,y)$ of positive integers satisfying the equation

$$\frac{x-y}{x+y}=\frac{x+y+1}{xy+1}$$
The number of ordered pairs $(x,y)$ of positive integers satisfying the equation above is
$\bf{My\; Try::}$ Since $\displaystyle\frac{x+y+1}{xy+1}\geq1\Rightarrow \frac{x+y+1}{xy+1}=1\Rightarrow x=y=1$
So we get only one ordered pair
$(x,y)=(1,1)$
Now how can I solve it, Help required, Thanks

A:

The equation $$\frac{x-y}{x+y}=\frac{x+y+1}{xy+1}$$ can be re-written as $$x^2-y^2=1.$$
If $x\geq y$, then $x^2-y^2\geq 0$, and if $x\leq y$, then $x^2-y^2\leq 0$. Therefore, we have the solution: $(1,1)$.
However, the equation has infinitely many other solutions, such as $(x,y)=(k,k^2)$ for $k\geq 2$.
