I’m using Xamarin.forms and I want to get the current user name that the app is running on.
I have tried the following code, but I keep getting an error on the line where I try to get the name of the user from the CurrentUser.UserName.
I get the error message:

I don’t know if this question is still valid, but I want to add my findings.
As far as I know, you cannot get the current user name from the Environment.UserName directly. The name of the user is saved in the Environment.UserId (or whatever you choose), and I think Environment.UserId is the id of the user, not the name.
As a workaround, I had to use the Android PackageManager, as the name of the app and the name of the current user are different.
